  • Dr Chong was HCA Hospice Care Deputy Medical Director from 2008 to 2015. He chairs and participates in several advocacy efforts such as the paediatric and young adults Advanced Care Planning (ACP) task force and the Asia Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care Network (APHN) Paediatric Palliative Care Special Interest Group.
  • “I will continue the good work that has already been started two and a half decades ago. My vision for the organisation is in striving towards developing clinical teams that are not only stronger in rendering competent and compassionate care to our beneficiaries, yet being able to look after themselves better. After all, we can only truly serve or give of ourselves when the body, mind and spirit are all in a good place,” says Dr Chong who is also the founder of Star PALS, a paediatric palliative care service under HCA Hospice Care.
  • Dr Chong was also awarded the Healthcare Humanity Award in 2015 and the President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Award, Leader of Good Award in 2021.
