HCA’s Management

Ms Angeline Wee

Chief Executive Officer

Angie has held senior management positions in large corporations, the most recent of which, was the Regional Account Executive (APAC and IMEA) for the largest global account of a French MNC, with P&L responsibility. She was concurrently the Managing Director for its Singapore office. She has over 30 years of IT industry experience and is a Certified Outsourcing Manager for IT – COMIT (Senior).

Angie joined HCA Hospice Care in December 2015 and her ambition is to enable HCA Hospice Care to continue to be a leading palliative healthcare organisation, where the team is both motivated and empowered to provide excellent hospice care to patients and compassionate support to their families.

“People are the most important assets in any service organisation and it is only through people, that we can achieve our vision and mission,” says Angie. It has always been Angie’s personal goal to ensure that her people have good career paths, and to build an environment where they are happy and equipped with the skills to deliver their best.

Angie has volunteered at several events of other VWOs, helping in fundraising activities and corporate social responsibility events. She also helped in church ministries for 7 years.

Dr Chong Poh Heng

Medical Director

Dr Chong was HCA Hospice Care Deputy Medical Director from 2008 to 2015. He chairs and participates in several advocacy efforts such as the paediatric and young adults Advanced Care Planning (ACP) task force and the Asia Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care Network (APHN) Paediatric Palliative Care Special Interest Group.

“I will continue the good work that has already been started two and a half decades ago. My vision for the organisation is in striving towards developing clinical teams that are not only stronger in rendering competent and compassionate care to our beneficiaries, yet being able to look after themselves better. After all, we can only truly serve or give of ourselves when the body, mind and spirit are all in a good place,” says Dr Chong who is also the founder of Star PALS, a paediatric palliative care service under HCA Hospice Care.

Dr Chong was also awarded the Healthcare Humanity Award in 2015 and volunteers at other VWOs such as Make-A-Wish Foundation as Advisory Board member.
