Donation of Equipment and Pharmacy Items

To foster a culture of sustainability and ensure vital resources reach patients and families in need, we encourage and welcome donations of medical equipment that are in good condition, and pharmacy items that are unused, unopened, and have at least two months until expiry.

Your small act of kindness will help to alleviate the financial burden on needy patients, and positively impact their overall well-being while living out their last days at home.

Medical Equipment

We accept the following types of equipment: hospital beds, ripple mattresses, oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, push chairs, commodes, geriatric chairs, overbed tables, nebulisers, suction pumps, walking frames, quad sticks and walking sticks.

All donated equipment must be in working condition, as we do not have the resources to repair faulty items. 

Pharmacy Items

We also accept donations of pharmacy items, such as diapers, underpads, saline and gauze. The following criteria apply for all donations of pharmacy items:

  • At least two months away from expiry date at time of donation
  • In reasonable condition and stored away from heat and direct sun
  • Sterile items and liquids must be unopened
  • Diaper packs must be unopened. For large quantities (>5 packs), you may consider donating to nursing homes or eldercare homes instead

Making A Donation

If you have equipment or pharmacy items to donate, please note the following:

  • Take clear photos of the actual item(s)
  • Email [email protected] with a descriptions of the item(s) and corresponding photo
  • Collection fees apply – S$160 per trip if donated items include hospital beds, and S$50 per trip for other equipment. Fees are paid directly to an external vendor, as HCA does not have the requisite transport resources.
  • Alternatively, you may opt to drop-off the items (except for beds) at either our headquarters (Boon Keng) or our warehouse (Pioneer) during office hours
 

Our team will usually get in touch with you within 2-3 working days. Please only arrange for pick-up/drop-off upon confirmation of acceptance from our team.  We apologise in advance if we are unable to accept unsuitable items.
