It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Mr Daniel Teo, a valued member of the Board of Directors of HCA Hospice. Daniel served with distinction as Chairperson of our Finance and Investment Committee, where his wisdom, diligence, and unwavering commitment strengthened the organisation’s stewardship and sustainability.
Daniel brought with him a distinguished career in banking and finance, spanning decades of leadership across global institutions. Known for his sharp acumen and steady judgment, he contributed significantly to the organisations he served, guiding complex decisions with clarity and integrity. Even more notable, however, was his desire to give back. Following his accomplished professional journey, Daniel devoted himself to service on numerous boards and committees, contributing his expertise for the greater good and generously donating to the causes he believed in. At HCA, he truly walked the talk, advocating for our mission and supporting our work both with his voice and his philanthropy.
A thoughtful and engaged leader, Daniel approached his role with care and responsibility, always seeking to ensure sound governance while remaining deeply aligned with our mission of providing compassionate care to patients and families. His contributions were marked not only by technical excellence but also by his humility, warmth, and collegial spirit.
Those who worked closely with Daniel will remember him for his calm demeanour, generosity, and quiet strength. He led with patience, encouraged others with kindness, and brought a sense of perspective that enriched every discussion.
We are grateful for Daniel’s service, his friendship, and his steadfast belief in our cause. His legacy lives on through the lasting impact he made on our organisation and the many lives he touched.
On behalf of the Board, Management, and staff of HCA Hospice, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
