Eg. Students of Institute of Technical Education (Balestier Campus) proposed a landscape design for our hospice garden. In the process, they learnt about flowers, planting and landscaping and they acquired critical lifeskills like working within budget and timeline, effective communications and working together as a team.
Outreach Education talks
We organise public education talks, roadshows, or exhibition to raise students and community's awareness of the needs of the elderly sick and patients with life-limiting illness.
"Working with HCA Hospice Care has been both exciting and meaningful for the students and staff of SRJC. Indeed, education is not simply about books and the exams, but also, nurturing the whole child by engaging them in community service and challenging them to lead their peers as community champions."
