HCA Hospice Services
Hospice care is most appropriate when a patient can no longer benefit from curative treatment and life expectancy is, at most, less than 12 months. The patient can have any type of life-limiting illness, such as end-stage cancer, end-stage heart disease, end-stage renal failure, AIDS etc.
Hospice care is generally focused on pain and symptom control and on enabling patients to spend their last days with dignity and having a good quality of life. In addition, hospice care also provides emotional, spiritual and practical support for patients and their families. We serve patients regardless of age, religion, race, financial status and nationality.
To qualify for HCA services, whether it is for hospice home care or day care service, patients have to be referred to HCA by their doctors who should complete our patient referral form [56kb PDF].
