Happenings @ HCA: Of remembrance, partnerships, and paint.

Happenings @ HCA

A snapshot of some of the things that’s been happening these two months at HCA.

1) We celebrated the lives of our little stars at the Star PALS Remembrance Evening

On the 6th of September, we came together to remember the lives of the children under our Star PALS programme who have passed away. Their families were given a chance to express themselves through art and song, while two brave mothers shared their personal stories of grief, loss, and strength with the other parents.

2) Pottery, music, and paint at the School of the Arts

The students of SOTA banded together to provide our day hospice patients with a day of creativity on the 28th of October. They first put on a performance, then patiently brought us through workshops involving oil painting, pottery, and clay hand-prints.

3) The National Council of Social Services visits HCA

We were honoured to have the new CEO of NCSS, Mr Sim Gim Guan, initiate a visit with us on the 5th of November, along with other delegates from NCSS from the Community Chest, Advocacy and Membership Group, and the Social Service Institute.
