Trailblazers100 – Ultra runners united for HCA Hospice Care

This year HCA Hospice Care is collaborating with The North Face 100 run.

A group of 55 long distance runners have been training for The Trailblazers100 run, happening on the 10th October 2015.

Encouraged by the President of HCA Hospice Care, Dr Tan Poh Kiang‘s accomplishment of 100k at The North Face run in 2014, many are determined to do likewise.

We have our very own HCA staff joining the group of steady and spontaneous runners as well.

“Being in Star PALS, I journey with children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions. I have seen their courage and perseverance in life. I’m running to tell of their stories, courage, their hopes and dreams. Its not about dying, its about LIVING.” says Serene Wong, a nurse from Star PALS. Serene knows that every step she takes will make a difference in the children’s lives, and that motivates and constantly reminds her to persevere through the 50 km.

We are truly thankful for this persevering and passionate group of runners who willingly put in their sweat and time to raise funds and awareness for HCA Hospice Care. The event will be held on the 10th October 2015, Saturday at the MacRitchie Reservoir, flagged off at 7 am!
